ABOUT AAICP
The AAICP was formed in 2002 as the only national Association representing the interests of independent claims professionals. AAICP members employ thousands of claim specialists and other professionals across the country and handle millions of workers’ compensation, disability, property and liability claims annually. AAICP member organizations:
- Ensure prompt payment of benefits to disabled and injured employees,
- Help families rebuild their homes after catastrophic events,
- Protect businesses against financial risk
Membership is comprised of independent claims adjuster and third-party administrator organizations. From the Association’s inception, the Association has worked on the development of federal and state solutions supporting adjuster licensing uniformity and reciprocity to enhance quality and ensure prompt and equitable reimbursement of claims to Americans.
AAICP Mission
- The AAICP’s Mission is to foster a legal and regulatory environment that enables third-party administrators and independent adjustors to meet their responsibilities:
- To claimants for the timely and equitable restitution of losses and payment of just entitlements;
- To claim funders for the accurate, efficient and ethical discharge of our assignments as responsible stewards of their reputations and funds;
- To the American community supporting recovery from individual losses and regional or national disasters.
- To educate the public concerning the claims industry’s critical role in timely claims resolution and in reinforcing the confidence of our citizens that their resources will be available in times of need, whether it be injury or national disaster;
- To advocate prudent and commercially responsible laws and regulations regarding issues of relevance to AAICP members before state and the federal lawmakers and regulators, thereby reducing industry and client overheads and conserving funds for the payment of claims.
